Should you buy Microsoft Lumia 535?

Microsoft Lumia 535
Price: Rs 9,191
The Nokia branding on Lumia smartphones is a thing of the past.
The Lumia 535 is the first phone with Microsoft branding. But is it a worthy budget phone?
Design: You can't expect Lumia smartphones to look different. This has a candy bar form with rounded corners. The phone boasts a 5-inch IPS touch display. It is easy to grip with a single hand. Overall, the phone feels durable.
Performance: It is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor and is paired with 1GB RAM. It runs on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, which is easy to use.
While overall performance seemed decent, the phone did hang a few times while launching an app. You will have to use a memory card as only 3 GB of the 8GB internal storage is user accessible.
Camera: Microsoft is pushing this as a selfie phone. It has a 5MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The rear camera does a decent job. The images captured in bright daylight appear to have details and real colours.
The LED flash is just about average. The selfie camera can capture wide-angle shots, making it a great device for group selfies. There is also a Selfie app that can be used to enhance photos.
Battery: It will last you a day. Don't expect more.
Plus: Display
Minus: Processor
Bag it or junk it: A good budget smartphone but faces competition.
