Moto E is a middling performer

Motorola Moto E
Price: Rs 6,999
Specs: 4.3 inch display; 5MP rear camera; Android KitKat; 1.2GHz dual core processor; 1GB RAM; 4GB internal storage; expandable card slot
This budget phone from Motorola resembles the Moto G and Moto X a lot. All the three phones have curved edges but the Moto E is thick and heavy to hold. The thickest point of the slightly curved back measures 12.3mm. Packing in a 4.3 inch touch display, it weights 142 grams. The 4.3-inch display is protected by a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 - a first for a phone in this price range and with 960x540 pixels. To make this phone last, Motorola has also added a nano coating to the components of this phone that makes it safe from water spills. Moto E comes with a price tag of Rs 6,999.
So don't expect stunning quad-core chipset. Yet, it is powered by 1.2Ghz dual core processor on low-end Snapdragon 200 chipset. Motorola has added 1GB of RAM for smooth performance. This smartphone comes with 4GB internal storage, of which only 2.2 GB is user accessible. This isn't good but it does support expandable memory card and apps can be stored on this too. While the phone seemed to be working fine in the first few days, it stated hanging and even heated up while being used. This is a dual SIM smartphone with micro SIM card support. Both the SIMs can be used over 3G network.
