Review: Amkette Trubeats Slix headphones are for those on the move

Amkette Trubeats Slix
Price: Rs 3,195
-The two sides clip on to each other thanks to magnetic edges
-The cable link seems very sturdy.
-The earpieces are comfortable; good for long hours of listening
The heart-shaped Sony W-series walkmans had a revolutionary design that will not be forgotten easily. So it was not difficult to see where Amkette got its inspiration for the Slix range of Bluetooth headphones. But these ones can't store or play any content by themselves.
The build quality is good, but there are certain parts that seem a bit too plasticky. On the left side are buttons to skip songs to and fro. On the other side is a toggle button that adjusts volume as well as activates the Bluetooth pairing.
The device is very convenient to use as it gets rid of the wires that can be a pain when you are trying to enjoy your favourite songs. We tested it during a jog in the park and it stays in place quite comfortably. You can easily answer calls using the buttons on the earpiece.
The audio quality is very decent. The entire frequency range was quite prominent and clear. The headset does not seem to be partial to bass as most of its contemporaries. We suggest the volume levels be kept at around 80 per cent as the device can go beyond the volume in the source device. This also means the volume toggle is not like a remote and you cannot adjust the volume on the phone from the earpiece. Buy this if you make a lot of calls on the move and also like to listen to songs from the phone.
Bag it or junk it: A good option for those with an active life
