The Desire 310 Dual SIM smartphone is similar to most HTC smartphones but priced at Rs 10,990.

HTC Desire 310 Dual SIM
Price: Rs 10,990
Rating: 4.5/5

Specs: 4.5 inch display; 5 MP camera; 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek processor; 512 MB RAM; 4GB internal storage; microSD card slot; dual SIM; Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G; Android 4.2; 2000 mAh battery

Everyone seems to be focusing on Rs 10,000 smartphones. The Desire 310 from HTC is a dual SIM smartphone, which is available for Rs 10,990. The Desire 310 feels similar to most of the HTC smartphones.

It has got a 4.5 inch display at the front with HTC branding below the screen. It has a display resolution of 480x 854 pixels, which doesn't feel bright and crisp. The plastic back panel is removable, which hides two SIM slots, a memory card slot and a 2000 mAh battery. At 140 grams, the phone feels heavy.

Running on Android Jelly Bean 4.2, the Desire 310 dual SIM is powered by a 1.3Ghz quad core chipset by MediaTek. Of the 4GB internal storage, only 2.02 GB is user accessible. The user interface looks similar to other smartphones by HTC.

The phone is a decent performer as I was able to smoothly browse the web and download apps from the Play Store. While the device ran basic games with ease, one should not expect it to play heavy graphic games. The phone offers connectivity options including Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi. HTC has added a 5MP camera to this phone, which is just about average. For night imaging, HTC hasn't added a flash. The sound output was good but watching videos over the phone wasn't a treat. The 2000 mAh battery lasted me a day.

BAG IT OR JUNK IT:
An average dual SIM smartphone.
