Samsung wants to be present in all screen sizes. So it is making it a point to have a Galaxy device for every inch of the smart device race. The latest addition in their tablet portfolio is the Note 510, a 7.95-inch tablet competing against the Apple iPad Mini.
It doesn't look much different from the existing 7-inch tablets. But keep them next to each other and you notice the thick frame with sensors and front facing camera at the top and home, back and option keys at the bottom. At 8mm, the tablet is surprisingly comfortable to hold. But we think Samsung must get rid of the plastic it uses for manufacturing high-end devices like these.
This too has an S Pen stylus shoved into the bottom corner. The tablet wakes up as soon as you pull it out and open Notes. The note is saved when you push the stylus back in. The Air View option is also available in this device. Though good software add-ons, all these drain battery considerably. So, we suggest you switch off these features when not needed.
The Note 510 runs Jelly Bean using a 1.6Ghz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. This promises a flawless experience while gaming and multi-tasking. However, only 9.78GB of the 16GB internal storage is available for users. The tablet also packs in a 5MP rear camera that captures quality images with details and less noise. There is Wi-Fi and a microSIM slot for connectivity.
