Bluetooth watch accessory isn't a new domain for Sony. In 2007, Sony Ericsson (now Sony) had come out with a range of watches that paired with phones over Bluetooth. At the time, these watches were able to reject a call, notify an incoming message or control music. Fast forward six years and Sony has a new wrist accessory that has evolved but isn't revolutionary. The Sony Smartwatch 2 doesn't look classic. It has a 1.6-inch simple, square aluminium dial in black.
The touch display is accompanied with three touch keys spotted on Android smartphones on the dial and a physical button placed on the left. And it doesn't work out of the box either. I had to first install the Smart Connect app that connects with the watch settings, notifications and third-party apps. There are apps to access Twitter, Facebook, and Gmail on the watch. Others include controlling your smartphone's camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggles, etc. This smartphone notifies an incoming call but one has to pull out the phone to talk. The watch can be charged using a universal charger as it supports a micro USB port. A single charge lasted close to two days against Sony's claim of three to four days.
-Pairs with all Android smartphones
-Strap can be changed
