You've always wanted to visit the great amusement marvels in Florida and California but it's more than a tad over your budget. Well, consider these ones closer home. They are equally fun but come at a lower price tag, making them attractive holiday destinations for the growing middle class.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS, SINGAPORE
Rs 60,000 per couple*

Most obviously, Universal Studios in Resorts World Sentosa is for movie buffs in Asia and invites you to come and "ride the movies". A one night-two days package costs about Rs 15,600 for two, including two passes, an overnight stay with breakfast and even gift vouchers.

Getting there: A round trip for two by air will cost about Rs 44,000 and a taxi ride from the airport will cost up to Rs 1,000, depending on the season and surcharges.

OCEAN PARK, HONG KONG
Rs 50,000 per person*

Originally started as an Oceanarium, the park currently has 52 major attractions, including a standalone sea jelly exhibit, a helium balloon ride and the world's first 360 water screen. Tickets cost about Rs 11,250 and a 4-star hotel stay near the park an additional Rs 9,000 for one night.

Getting there: An air ticket for a round trip to Hong Kong costs approximately Rs 20,000.

EVERLAND, SEOUL
Rs 50,000 per person*

Korea's largest theme park is a combination of roller-coaster rides, a water park, theme villages and even a safari to spot tigers and bears. The tickets will cost you about Rs 1,500 and an overnight stay another Rs 8,500.

Getting there: The airfare for a round trip to Seoul is about Rs 40,000 and it's an 80-minute ride to Everland.

FERRARI WORLD, ABU DHABI
Rs 35,000 per person*

This is the world's first Ferrari theme park and the largest indoor park in the world (2 lakh sq metres). The park has more than 20 rides, including its signature attraction 'Formula Rossa'-the fastest roller coaster in the world. A ticket costs about Rs 3,000 and overnight stay at a five-star hotel will add another Rs 10,000 to your budget.

Getting there: It's ten minute drive from the airport and the airfare for a round trip is about Rs 20,000.

If you are a Disney fan, this one is a must visit. Set between a mountain range and the sea on the Lantau Island, the park ships you to a land of fantasy. Admission tickets cost about Rs 2,500 and if you decide to stay at a Disney Hotel, you will incur another Rs 10,000 per night.

Getting there: Air tickets cost about Rs 22,000 for a round trip and then it's a ride on an airport express or a taxi to the park.
