Just wondering ...

What happened to Buddha, Bhupendra Kumar Modi’s big-budget Hollywood film on the life of the founder of Buddhism? We learn that Shekhar Kapur, who had agreed to direct the venture, has pulled out, but Modi confirms that the plans for the film are still very much on track.
“But it will take some time to finalise the director and get the film on the floor,” he says. The film’s website, buddhathefilm.com lists the California-based Modi as its producer and Michel Shane and Anthony Romano as executive producers. It also says that David S. Ward will write the script based on the book Old Path White Clouds by Thich Nhat Hanh. So, clearly, that lays to rest the confusion about Deepak Chopra being involved with this venture.
