
Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook, has surpassed Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to become the fourth richest person in the world, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index.
The 31-year old founder of the largest social networking website, now has a fortune of about $50 million after the company's stocks surged at the stock market. Zuckerberg net worth has vaulted him above not only one but two tech titans, Amazon's Jeff Bezos and America Movil SAB's Carlos Slim.
Zuckerberg is still behind the third place billionaire, Warren Buffet by about $10 billion while Microsoft founder Bill Gates remained at the first place followed by Spanish fashion brand Zara's founding chairman, Armancio Ortega.
Facebook's net worth has been soaring high since the company posted a flawless quarterly earnings report last week that exceeded expectations on the Wall Street. The company is now at the fourth place after Microsoft, Apple and Alphabet as the company stocks have been already up 9.5% so far this year.
Last year, Mark Zuckerberg was at the 15th position on the Bloomberg Billionaire Index and in one year, the man has climbed up the ladder to be the fourth richest man in the world.
