
The benchmark BSE Sensex declined 118.26 points, or 0.44 per cent, to 26,599.11.
The CNX Nifty index on the National Stock Exchange also lost 39.70 points, or 0.49 per cent, to 8,057.30.
Stocks which remained under pressure on the Bombay Stock Exchange were:
Jet Airways: The share price of Jet Airways tanked 8.88 per cent to Rs 357.10.
BEML: The BEML stock declined by 8.26 per cent at Rs 870.60. The stock closed at Rs 949 on May 6.
IFCI: The share price of the company plunged 7.02 per cent to Rs 29.80.
Power Finance Corporation: The stock fell 6.90 per cent to Rs 253.
Wockhardt: The stock closed the day at Rs 1,230.45, down 6.68 per cent, against its previous close of Rs 1,318.50.
Some other stocks which stood among the list of top losers were Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 6.46 per cent to Rs 189.10), Arvind Ltd ( down 6 per cent) and Hexaware Technologies (down 5.92 per cent).
