Shares of IT hardware firm
HCL Infosystems on Friday jumped nearly 7 per cent in the morning trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company bagged a Rs 300-crore order from the Indian Air Force.
The company's stock advanced by 6.61 per cent to Rs 108 on Bombay Stock Exchange, while on National Stock Exchange the stock surged 7.23 per cent to Rs 109 a piece.
The company had on Thursday received an order from the Indian Air Force to deploy Wideband CDMA-based portable wireless network. According to the deal, the WCDMA network will provide backbone connectivity and ensure video interactivity for video calls, cross connectivity with other communication platforms like IP-based communication within the Air Force Network.
The new order was announced after the market hours on Thursday.
