Snapping a two-session losing streak, the domestic markets ended higher in trade on Thursday, riding on hopes that parliament would clear goods and services tax (GST) Bill in the ongoing Winter Session.
The S&P BSE Sensex ended 182.89 points up at 25,958.63, while broader CNX Nifty settled the day above its key 7,850-mark, up 52.20 points at 7,883.80.
Market breadth remained positive with 22 of the 30 Sensex components ending the day in green.

- DLF: Realty major DLF's promoters have bought 23 lakh shares of the company through open market transactions for nearly Rs 25 crore, raising their stakes to 74.99 per cent. The stock ended the day 6 per cent after rising nearly 9 per cent through the day.
- Videocon Industries: In a first spectrum trading deal of the country, Idea Cellular today signed a pact with Videocon Telecommunications to buy its airwaves in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh West for Rs 3,310 crore. Reacting to this, stock of Videocon Ind ended 4.14 per cent up, while Idea gained 5 per cent.
- Dr Reddy's: Shares of Dr Reddy's cracked 10 per cent in trade on Thursday after the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) said it might withhold approval of the company's fresh drugs and stop import if no corrective action is taken. The stock ended 8.21 per cent down after hitting an intraday low of Rs 3049.75, down 9.99 per cent on Bombay Stock Exchange.
- PC Jeweller: Shares of PC Jeweller ended over 2 per cent down after the company said it has tied up with California-based Martian Watches for smart jewellery. The new range will integrate wireless technologies into jewellery and at the same time will provide interchangeable design modules through PCJ's specially designed smart bracelets.
- Reliance Communications: RCom shares settled 4.64 per cent up after the company said it is close to finalising a deal to sell its entire stake in tower unit Reliance Infratel, sources aware of the development said. RCom owns about 96 per cent stake in Infratel and the sale would fetch it around Rs 22,000 crore, which will be used to retire some debt.
- JustDial: Shares of JustDial surged 3.53 per cent after the local search engine said it will spend up to Rs 164.5 crore in buying back shares from shareholders.
- Shriram Asset Management Company: Shriram AMC shares gained 3.70 per cent after the company said it has got market regulator Sebi's approval to manage offshore funds.
- Mahindra & Mahindra: Utility vehicle major Mahindra & Mahindra ended the day 2 per cent higher after the company launched its premium sports utility vehicle XUV500 with automatic transmission at a starting price of Rs 15.36 lakh (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai).
- Adani Power: State-run Power Finance Corp said its arm PFC Consulting has transferred three wholly owned subsidiaries to Adani Power. The stock settled the day 4.64 per cent up.
- Sun Pharma: Shares of Sun Pharma gained 3.96 per cent after the company announced that it has shelved plans to invest in wind energy business in the US.
