
Stock markets will remain closed on Thursday and Friday on account of public holidays. Trading in domestic equities will resume on Monday.
The benchmark Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex had closed 302.65 points (or 1.08 per cent) higher, at 28,260.14 on Wednesday. The index added 2.9 per cent in the truncated week.
The broader National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty closed at 8,586.25, with a gain of 95.25 points (or 1.12 per cent). The 50-share index posted a weekly gain of 2.9 per cent, its best since the week ended on January 23.
