
The stock market and money market will be closed on Wednesday on account of assembly elections in Maharashtra.
The benchmark Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) index Sensex fell 34.74 points (or 0.13 per cent) to end at 26,349.33 on Tuesday. The broader 50-share National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty lost 20.25 points (or 0.26 per cent) to end at 7,864.
The partially convertible rupee ended weaker at 61.41 per dollar on Tuesday against its previous close of 61.09, retreating from a nearly three-week high hit intra-day on Tuesday.
The benchmark 10-year bond yield ended 2 basis points lower at 8.40 per cent.
