Central government clears all GST dues to states till May 31

The government has released the entire GST amount owed to states up to May 31. Releasing an amount of ₹86,912 cr, the centre said the decision was taken to assist the states in managing their resources and ensuring their programmes are carried out successfully. The balance is being released by the Centre from its own resources pending collection of Cess. Karishma Asoodani brings in more details.
