In Pics: French firm Pernod's liquor brands in India

Absolut Vodka is a brand of vodka, produced near Åhus, in southern Sweden. Pernod Ricard bought Absolut for €5.63 billion in 2008.

Absolut is also the world’s sixth-largest spirits brand and is sold in 126 countries.

Chivas Regal is a blended Scotch whisky manufactured by Chivas Brothers. It was founded in 1786, with its home being in the Strathisla distillery in Speyside, Scotland, and is the oldest continuously operating Highland distillery.

Chivas’ range of exclusive whiskies – matured between 10 and 25 years – are timeless classics. The brand has been part of Pernod Ricard since 2001.

Ballantine's is a range of blended Scotch whiskies produced in Dumbarton, Scotland. Part of the Pernod Ricard group since 2005, Ballantine’s heritage dates back to 1827.

The brand’s range of blended Scotch is produced from a blend of single malts and grain whiskies from Scotland’s whisky regions: Speyside, the Highlands, Islay and the Lowlands.

The Glenlivet distillery is a distillery near Ballindalloch in Moray, Scotland and produces single malt Scotch whisky. The Glenlivet is the world’s second best-selling single malt and the biggest selling single malt whisky in the United States.

Part of the Pernod Ricard group since 2001, The Glenlivet brand is also oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet. It was founded in 1824 and has operated almost continuously since.

Blenders Pride is a brand of Indian whisky and is a blend of Indian grain spirits and imported Scotch malt from Chivas Brothers. Blenders Pride has been part of Pernod Ricard since 2001.

Pernod Ricard has identified Blenders Pride as the company's one of the five core brands to build its spirits business in India. Blenders Pride’s competitors in India are Royal Challenge, Signature and Antiquity and Peter Scot.

Imperial Blue, also called ‘IB’ and known as Seagram's Imperial Blue, is a brand of Indian whisky. It is a blend of Indian grain spirits and imported Scotch malts and is commonly available in 750ml, 375ml and 180ml bottles, and also available in 90ml bottles.

Launched in 1997, Imperial Blue became part of Pernod Ricard in 2002. Interestingly, after its acquisition Pernod Ricard, Imperial Blue’s success has grown year on year, and it is currently the group’s largest brand by volume.

Beefeater Gin is a brand of gin owned by Pernod Ricard and bottled and distributed in the United Kingdom, by the company of James Burrough. The company also claims that the Beefeater Gin is world’s most awarded gin and is the embodiment of The Spirit of London.

To this day, Beefeater gin is produced to James Borough’s original 1863 recipe, including the unique process of ‘steeping’ nine perfectly balanced botanicals for 24 hours. Beefeater has been part of the Pernod Ricard group since 2005.

100 Pipers is a brand of blended Scotch whisky that is produced by Pernod Ricard. The company claims it is the "seventh-largest blended Scotch worldwide”, and is the number two Scotch whisky in Asia.

The brand has been part of the Pernod Ricard group since 2001. 100 Pipers is bottled in Scotland and India.

Havana Club is a brand of rum created in Cuba in 1934. In 1993, Pernod Ricard S.A. and The Cuba Ron SA Corporation created the joint venture Havana Club International S.A., to bring Havana Club to consumers around the world, except for the United States due to the embargo put in place by the US government.

Produced by Maestros del Ron Cubano following traditional Cuban methods, Havana Club rums are the most rewarded Cuban rums with 27 medals in tasting competitions in the last four years, enjoyed by Cantineros and rum drinkers around the world.

Jameson, as per the company’s claims, is the best-selling Irish whiskey in the world. It is produced in a distillery in Midleton, County Cork, from malted and unmalted Irish barley. The brand has been part of the Pernod Group since 1988.

Jameson is also the best-selling Irish whiskey in the world as in 2019, its annual sales passed 8 million cases. It has been sold internationally since the early 19th century, and is available to buy in over 130 countries.

Jefferson’s whiskey, produced in Louisville, Kentucky, is named after Thomas Jefferson for his curiosity and experimental spirit. Jefferson's brand of bourbon whiskey is distilled, blended, and bottled in the US by Pernod-Ricard.

Embracing innovation, the brand uses techniques such as ageing at sea and original wood combinations to create its top-rated small-batch bourbon. Founded in 1997, Jefferson’s has been part of Pernod Ricard since 2019.

Kahlúa is a brand of coffee liqueur and is produced in Veracruz, Mexico. The drink contains rum, sugar, and arabica coffee. Kahlúa has been part of Pernod Ricard since 2005.

Pernod also claims that Kahlúa is now the world’s number 1 coffee liqueur. Kahlúa is committed to its terroir and local farming communities and seeks to source 100% of its coffee from sustainable sources, says the company.

Long John is a classic blended Scotch with sweet and smoky notes. It has been part of the Pernod Ricard group since 2005.

According to the company, Long John is of the best-selling whiskies in France and is crafted from a selection of 30 Scottish Highland and Island malt and grain whiskies, spirits from the Tormore distillery.

Malibu is a coconut flavoured liqueur, made with Caribbean rum, and possessing an alcohol content. This flavoured liqueur is made with Caribbean rum that is produced in a distillery on a beach in Barbados, the original coconut-flavoured rum is a staple in iconic cocktails such as piña coladas and daiquiris.

The Malibu brand is owned by Pernod Ricard group since 2005.

Monkey 47 is a batch distilled and handcrafted gin from Germany’s Black Forest and has been part of Pernod Ricard since 2016.

In total, 47 handpicked plant ingredients prepared in extremely soft water from the Black Forest lend Monkey 47 unrivaled complexity and quality.

Rabbit Hole brand was founded in 2012 by Kaveh Zamanian, a PhD psychologist with a passion for wine and spirits. Rabbit Hole, which has been part of Pernod Ricard since 2019, takes a creative approach to a rich spirits tradition.

According to the media reports, The name ‘Rabbit Hole’ references Zamanian wife's response to his desire to open a distillery: "You're taking the family down the rabbit hole.”
