Who is Shloka Mehta, the girl set to marry Akash Ambani?

Rumoured to be the prospective bride of the Ambani family, Shloka Mehta, who is expected to be betrothed to Akash Ambani, son of Reliance Industries (RIL) CMD, Mukesh and Nita Ambani, will be the second diamond industry connection for the Ambanis.
Diamantaire conman Nirav Modi's brother Neeshal is married to Ambani's niece, Isheta.

Shloka is the daughter of Arun Russell Mehta, MD of Rosy Blue, a $2 billion diamond cutting, polishing and trading company, whose own net worth is around Rs 3,000 crore. Mehta is the former Vice Chairperson of the Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and currently serves as the member of the Diamond Panel of the Committee of Administration of the GJEPC.
Rosy Blue, which has so far produced 236,000 carats of polished diamonds, also owns the Orra jewellery brand and was one of the companies named in the Panama Papers for having several offshore accounts.

Shloka, born on July 11, 1990, resides in Mumbai's Malabar Hill and studied at Dhirubhai Ambani School, topping the Cambridge Board in English in her final year at school in 2009. She secured 95 per cent marks in her IGCSE examinations.

She runs ConnectFor, an online volunteering platform under the aegis of the Rosy Blue Foundation, which she co-founded with Maniti Modi.
ConnectFor, which spent Rs 20 lakh in 2017-17, expects to increase its spending in the current fiscal - 2017-18 - by 350 per cent, to Rs 90 lakh.

Shloka's family is also connected to the Jatias of Hardcastle Restaurants, which owns McDonald's franchisees in south and west India. Her sister Diya got married to Ayush, son of Amit Jatia, last year in a lavish ceremony in Bahrain.
