Workers looking to relocate? These are the best countries for workers in 2021

The United States fell from its position as the top destination for workers for the first time in eight years, according to a global survey. The findings are according to a poll of 209,000 people done in 190 countries. Canada has topped the most desirable destinations for overseas workers followed by the U.S. and Australia. The survey was conducted by Boston Consulting Group and The Network between October and December 2020. The report was published titled "Decoding Global Talent, Onsite and Virtual."
As per the report, Canada and Australia had done a ''far better job of pandemic management'.

Canada

Canada overtook the US as the most popular country for foreign workers to relocate in 2021, ticking U.S off the top spot. As per the report, Canada and Australia both have done "far better job" of pandemic management and are also seen as having better social systems and more open cultures than the US, the authors mentioned.

U.S.

The United States fell from its position as the top destination for international workers and ranked second on the list.

Australia

Australia grabbed the third spot and also got credited for doing 'far better job in managing pandemic'. It is also seen as having better social systems and more open cultures than the U.S, as per the report.

Germany

Among other European countries, Germany fared better in terms of controlling the virus outbreak and made it to fourth spot.

U.K.

The United Kingdom may have been listed fourth in the top 10 ranking, but London, UK has grabbed the first spot in the top 10 cities for worker relocation. "The fame and reach of the British Commonwealth gives London an aura that helps it overcome geopolitical uncertainties, such as those surrounding Brexit that have dogged the UK as a whole in recent years," the report said.

Japan

Japan grabs the fifth spot in the list of top 10 countries. Currently, the country's COVID inoculation campaign is moving at a glacial pace due to the lack of supply and a shortage of specialty syringes that underscore the enormous challenge it faces in its aim to vaccinate every adult by the end of the year 2021.

Switzerland

Switzerland is at the number six position. The country has recently announced a plan to give each resident five free coronavirus tests per month starting from March 15.

Singapore

Asia-Pacific countries have also done a better job of containing the pandemic. Singapore made it to eighth position in the top 10 list.

France

France, in Western Europe, made it to ninth position on the list.

New Zealand

"New Zealand has been a model of effective coronavirus management almost since the pandemic began and has other appealing characteristics," the report highlighted.
