MAC APP STORE

Riding high on the success of the App Store launched for the iPhone a couple of years ago, Apple has now launched a similar store for its Macintosh operating system.

Named the 'Mac App Store', it went online with over 1,000 software programs, both free and paid. Available to Snow Leopard users, the store can be accessed via a software upgrade: Mac OS X v10.6.6.

The store has categories such as education, games, graphics & design, lifestyle, productivity, utilities, etc. You can buy applications using your iTunes account.

After its Android offerings, Sony Ericsson is all set to bring a complete touch Walkman-series phone. Named Yendo, it will have a 2.6-inch display with four customisable icons at the corners.

Loaded with Media Go, users will be able to drag and drop music between the PC and the phone. With a 3.5mm headset jack, it will also have features such as Facebook, Twitter and email account support.

HTC MOZAT
