Parliament attack, 2001
The 2001 Indian Parliament attack was a terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament in New Delhi on December 13, 2001. The terror groups responsible were Lashkar-e-taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, the two Pakistan based organizations. The attack led to the deaths of five terrorists, 6 police personnel, two Parliament Security Service personnel and a gardener - in total 14. It heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
