Naveen Chandramohan, the Founder and Fund Manager of ITUS Capital, believes in having a shared commitment to growth, an ideology that sets him and ITUS apart from other players in the industry. As one of the finest portfolio managers in India, he believes that asset management firms should take a fiduciary responsibility in working for investors and aligning the fee structure for the clients. Itus is owned by the employees of the firm, with an ownership mindset of building the business. He has a proven track-record of managing money and being ranked the best fund manager between 2012-14 by Asia Hedge in Hong Kong. At Itus, he runs a growth strategy investing in cash-flow based growth which provides portfolio downside protection across cycles. Prior to ITUS Capital, Naveen served as the Responsible Officer & Portfolio Manager at Hutchin Hill Capital HK Limited, where he was responsible for starting an EM Equities Event Driven Fund that was to manage a capital of 250 million USD across geographies. He was also a Partner of Oracle Capital Ltd, HK an asset management firm till 2015. Born and brought up in Chennai, Naveen is a professional diploma holder from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore and a graduate from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS). In Naveen’s 12 years of professional career, he has many accolades and achievements. One of many is that he co-authored a research paper, now published in the Journal for Networking and Communication as part of a project sponsored by Nokia. He also conceptualised and designed a micro-robot as part of a MEMS project.
