
Andhra Bank net profit soared 110 per cent to Rs 185.24 crore for the quarter ended March 2015 against Rs 88.08 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Net non-performing assets (NPAs) of the company fell to 2.93 per cent from 3.11 per cent a year ago. Return on assets stood at 0.42 for the quarter ended March 2015 against 0.22 in the same quarter last year.
Total income during the period increased to Rs 4,699.16 crore from Rs 4,057.89 crore in the previous year. For the full year, the company registered net profit of Rs 638.44 crore, up 46.57 per cent, against Rs 435.58 crore in the previous year.'
On Monday, stock of the public sector bank jumped 1.47 per cent to Rs 76.05. Meanwhile, it touched a high of Rs 79.60 and low of Rs 73.55.
