
Malaysia's low-cost airline AirAsia on Tuesday announced the launch of three new routes, including the direct flights to Visakhapatnam in India.
The other two destinations are Pontianak and Medan in Indonesia.
The thrice weekly Kuala Lumpur-Visakhapatnam direct flights would commence on May 7, according to a statement.
Visakhapatnam is an up and rising destination for trade and tourism, Spencer Lee, Head of Commercial said, adding the airline is confident that the move is timely.
AirAsia is also offering promotional all-in-fare of RM99 (Rs 4,000) one way for the Kuala Lumpur-Visakhapatnam flight and available for booking from Tuesday until March 22 for the travel period of May 7-March 26, 2016, the statement added.
