The rumours about Micromax launching an Android smartphone have proved true. The company has quietly placed its Android offering in the market.
The A60 will be a touch phone with 2.8 inch resistive display operating on Android v2.1. The most innovative of this affordable Android is the dual SIM facility, with which the phone can support two GSM SIM cards.
3G-enabled, the phone will have a 600 MHz processor and 150 MB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card. A 3.2 MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS will be the standard features on the A60, which is expected to be priced around Rs 8,000.
