At launch, Apple did not offer any zero down-payment options for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in India. But now, it is hinting a change in its stance.
Apple could be preparing a tie-up with Reliance, and the iPhone 6 could have a zero down-payment plan. Apple has started to add a link on its India website which leads to the Reliance eShop home page.
It is worth noting that in 2013, Reliance and Apple launched the iPhone 5S and 5C with zero down-payment plans which made the products highly desirable.
Zero down-payment options for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have been rumoured. Previously, plans were leaked which suggested plans for the iPhone 6 starting at Rs. 3,099 per month for 24 months, while the iPhone 6 Plus at Rs. 3,599 per month for 24 months.
The leaks did not mention storage variants of the iPhones, so it remains to be seen what really happens.
