A recent rumour about how Apple's new iPhone6 could be charged in a microwave has resulted in numerous destroyed phones.
According to a report by Metro, users on the message board '4chan' created a fake product description of the phone, which included a claim that it could be charged up by putting it in the microwave.
The joke apparently ruined the iPhones of a few, who believed the hoax and kept their phones inside the microwave for charging.
Meanwhile, Twitter is still abuzz with misleading tweets encouraging iPhone6 users to do the same.
