Arundhati Bhattacharya appointed managing director of SBI

The government has appointed Arundhati Bhattacharya as the new managing director of the State Bank of India (SBI).

Prior to this, Bhattacharya was the managing director of SBI Capital, the merchant banking arm of the bank, SBI said in a statement.

With over three decades of experience at SBI, Bhattacharya has undertaken various assignments spanning credit, forex, treasury and retail operations.
