Auto component maker Motherson Sumi Systems on Thursday reported 42.05 per cent increase in its consolidated
net profit for the
quarter ended December 31, at Rs 106.37 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 74.88 crore in the corresponding period previous year, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The consolidated total income during the third quarter of this financial year also jumped 18.61 per cent to Rs 2,152.57 crore from Rs 1,814.81 crore in the year-ago period, it added.
As on December 31, 2010, the company's consolidated total debt stood at Rs 991.16 crore.
Reacting to the results, the shares of the company were trading 2.46 per cent up at Rs 183.55 a piece on the Bombay Stock Exchange in the afternoon.
