Bajaj Auto has reported an 8.46 per cent
decline in motorcycle sales at 2,78,583 units
in August 2013.
In a statement, the two-wheeler manufacturer said it had sold 3,04,352 units in the corresponding month last year.
Bajaj Auto said exports were up by 10 per cent during the month at 1,44,160 units compared to 1,31,562 units in August 2012.
In the commercial vehicles category, the company said its sales stood at 33,605 units against 40,554 units in the same month last year - a decline of 17 per cent.
Total vehicle sales of the company last month stood at 3,12,188 units compared to 3,44,906 units in the same period a year ago, down 9 per cent, the statement said.
