BMW Mini finally coming to India next year

German carmaker BMW plans to launch its small luxury car, Mini,in Indianext year. The car is expected to be priced above Rs 25 lakh.

Indiais among the few markets where BMW has not introduced the Mini. The Mini wasplanned to be launched in Indiain 2009, but the proposal was later dropped.

The German carmaker is deciding on the Mini model to belaunched in the Indian market. The car would be sold through separate showroomsand would be imported as completely built units.

In the beginning, BMW will have two Mini dealerships in India, one in Delhi and the other one in Mumbai and thengradually expand the distribution network.
