Following a Rs 2.90/kg hike in
CNG prices on Friday , IGL shares were up over 5 per cent on the BSE at Rs 255 despite weak broader markets.
CNG price in the NCR region was hiked on Friday, IGL's third price hike this year.
After the price hike, CNG now costs Rs 38.35 per kg in Delhi. CNG prices were earlier hiked by Rs 1.75 per kg on January 1 and by Rs 1.90 per kg on March 6.
In Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, CNG would cost Rs 43.10 per kg, up Rs 3.30 per kg. IGL said that the CNG price rise was due to the fall in the value of rupee and a rise in cost of imported gas.
