Delhi Election Results: PM Narendra Modi, Kiran Bedi congratulate Arvind Kejriwal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called up and congratulated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal and assured him support from the central government.

"Spoke to Arvind Kejriwal and congratulated him on the win. Assured him centre's complete support in the development of Delhi," Modi tweeted Tuesday.

The prime minister's message came as AAP appeared racing towards a massive victory in Delhi.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kiran Bedi too extended her wishes to Kejriwal, urging him to turn the capital into "a world class city".

"Full marks to Arvind," she tweeted. "Congratulations. Now take Delhi to the heights it belongs to. Make it a world class city."
