Dell's has launched an augmented Inspiron laptop portfolio for young users, most of them featuring the new
Intel 3rd generation core processors. The company also showcased its soon-to-be launched Inspiron Z series of
ultrabooks.
The new Inspiron line is designed for the youth with a slim build, curved edges and vivid colours in a "oyster" clamshell format. While they will feature Intel's new 3rd Generation Core i processors (Ivy Bridge) and Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium operating system, buyers will be eligible for the Microsoft Windows 8 upgrade programme. The units also feature high-end graphics and Waves MaxxAudio technology for professional-quality sound.
"With a strong consumer centric strategy at Dell we create products with customers in mind and great experiences since what's important is not the technology itself, but what it enables them to do. These laptops are geared towards encouraging youth to adopt technology, utilise its potential and do more in their lives," said Mahesh Bhalla, Executive Director & General Manager, Consumer, Dell India.
In a first for India, the Inspiron range comes with unique 24/7 phone support for consumers for hardware and software. Till now, this feature was limited to high-end devices.
The prices of the Inspiron range start at Rs 39,990. There is also high-powered Inspiron 17R Special Edition for sale at Rs 63,682.
