
Domestic passenger car sales declined by15.76 per cent to 1,33,747 units in July, 2011, from 1,58,767 units in the samemonth last year.
According to figures released by theSociety of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Wednesday, motorcyclesales in the country grew by 10.51 per cent during the month to 7,85,278 unitsfrom 7,10,621 units in the corresponding month last year.
Maruti, Hyundai, Tata Motors July sales fall
Total two-wheeler sales increased by 12.61per cent to 10,56,906 units last month from 9,38,514 units in July, 2010.
Sales of commercial vehicles jumped by23.70 per cent to 64,241 units in the month under review from 51,934 units inthe year-ago period, SIAMsaid.
Auto cos revamp strategy to boost sales
Total sales of vehicles across categoriesregistered a growth of 8.99 per cent to 13,48,753 units in July, as against12,37,521 units in the same month last year, it added.
