Drug major Dr Reddy's Laboratories has reported a 69.41 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 690.25 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
The company had posted a profit of Rs 407.44 crore in the same period of the previous financial year.
Net sales rose to Rs 3,357.45 crore from Rs 2,880.85 crore a year earlier, Dr Reddy's Laboratories said in a filing. Revenue from the global generics segment grew 32 per cent to Rs 2,654.78 crore, driven by North America, Russia and other emerging markets, the company said.
Shares of Dr Reddy's Laboratories closed 2.64 per cent down at Rs 2,455.95 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
