P Chidambaram on Saturday said that
economic growth is likely to be 5.5 per cent in the second quarter of the current financial year.
Chidamabarm was speaking at the Annual Bankers' Conference in Pune. He also announced that govt would launch Aadhar-based direct transfer of subsidy, pension to people in 51 districts in 15 states from January 1.
He further added Aadhar-based direct subsidy transfer roll-out to be completed throughout India by end of 2013
