
Automaker Ford on Tuesday unveiled its small car B-Max atthe Geneva Motor Show with plans to launch it in markets across the world,including India.
"This is a small car for many markets and it will go onproduction later this year. It has potential in all small car market,"Ford President and CEO Alan Mulally said.
Asked if the company planned to launch the product in India, he said:"At this moment, I cannot say anything, but one thing is sure that it willgo around the world."
This may be a part of the eight new products planned for India by middleof this decade, he added.
"The Ford B-MAX really challenges traditional small carthinking, and pioneers a concept not attempted by any othermanufacturers," Ford (Europe) Chairmanand CEO Stephen Odell said in a statement.
"It does things which other vehicles simply cannot do.We believe the Ford B-Max will have a major impact on the market for compactcars," he added.
