Asus on April 23, 2015 launched the ZenFone 2 in India . The phone comes in three variants and is priced between Rs 12999 to Rs 22,999. we take a look at four features of the phone you can't ingnore.
- The highlight of the ZenFone 2 is its performance and it managed to impress me. Instead of the plain vanilla Android UI, Asus has added Zen UI to this phone, which is neat. ZenFone 2 handles basic stuff, such as fetching emails, multi-tab browsing, downloading apps, etc., with ease. The overall performance is impressive, considering its price. It has an Intel Atom Z3580 chipset that along with 4 GB RAM makes it a good performer in the mid-segment range.
- For photography, Asus has added a 13 MP rear camera. The images captured in bright daylight were impressive, but some shots were overexposed.
- The battery was a letdown; it won't even last a day if you are a heavy user.
- While the ZenFone 2 is a good performer, the 4 GB RAM effect doesn't seem to show in the benchmark tests. It scores almost similar to my year-old OnePlus One, which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 3 GB RAM.
