Setting out an aggressive growth target, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) major
Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) on Tuesday said it plans to grow its revenue by 10 times in the next 10 years. It plans to achieve this through acquisitions, both in India and overseas.
"As a group we have embarked on an ambitious target for the next 10 years years," P. Ganesh, executive vice-president, finance, GCPL, said. "We are looking at growing ten times over a timeframe of 10 years. So, that translates roughly into a compound annual growth rate of about 26 per cent," Ganesh said.
The company had revenue of Rs 3,800 crore in the last fiscal. "We are still looking for acquisitions in the emerging markets. Any acquisition, which is a strategic fit to the firm, we will look at it," Ganesh added.
"The play is really on the emerging market. The firm would look to buy businesses in Asia, Latin America and Africa," he said without divulging details of the acquisition plan.
