GTL Infra's net loss widens to Rs 84 cr

Telecom tower company GTLInfrastructure widened its net loss at Rs 83.95 crore for the quarter endedJune 30, 2011, mainly on account of interest and finance charges.

The company had a net loss of Rs 19.32 crore during the April-Junequarter of 2010, GTL Infrastructure said in a filing to the Bombay StockExchange.

However, total income rose to Rs 140.51 crore during thequarter under review, compared to Rs 110.45 crore in the same quarter lastfiscal.

During the quarter, the company paid interest and financecharges of Rs 105.80 crore, up 143.49 per cent from last fiscal.

On Friday, shares of GTL Infrastructure closed at Rs 12.56on the BSE, down 2.86 per cent from previous close.
