Havells India inks fresh trademark licence agreement
Electrical goods maker Havells India has said it has inked a pact
with a promoter entity whereby the trademark 'Havells' would be
transferred to the company.

Electrical goods maker Havells India on Monday said it has inked a pact with a promoter entity whereby the trademark 'Havells' would be transferred to the company.
"...one of its promoter companies, QRG Enterprises Ltd, which owns the trade mark 'Havells', has entered into a revised trademark license agreement with the company pursuant to which the brand will be transferred to the company for no consideration with effect from April 1, 2016," Havells said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The existing trademark licence agreement between the companies is expiring in financial year 2015-16, it added.
Havells India markets various products including industrial and domestic circuit protection devices, cables, wires, motors, fans and home appliances. It had acquired lighting firm Sylvania in 2007.
Havells India's shares were trading at Rs 646.60 on BSE in the afternoon trade, up 1.55 per cent from its previous close.
