
Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) hit the Rs 2 lakh crore mark in market capitalisation on Wednesday as its share price rose.
At the end of trade on Wednesday, the market valuation of HDFC stood at Rs 2,01,906.78 crore.
Shares of the company ended 2.71 per cent higher at Rs 1,284.35 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
During the day, it rose by 3.63 per cent to Rs 1,296 - 52-week high.
With this, HDFC joined the league of blue-chip companies that command a market value of over Rs 2 lakh crore including ONGC, RIL, ITC, Infosys, CIL, HDFC Bank, SBI, ICICI Bank and HUL.
HDFC is at the eleventh position in the domestic market capitalisation chart.
