
Hindustan Unilever (HUL) on Monday reported a 17.87 per cent jump in standalone net profit at Rs 1,252.17 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014.
The FMCG major had posted a net profit of Rs 1,062.31 crore in the corresponding year-ago period.
HUL's net sales rose by 7.69 per cent, to Rs 7,579.18 crore in Q3 of FY15 as against Rs 7,037.78 crore during the corresponding quarter of the 2013-14 financial year, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
HUL's scrip was trading 5.15 per cent lower from its previous close, at Rs 893.90 a piece on the BSE during afternoon trade.
