On Tuesday,
Huawei announced the launch of Ascend PI LTE, which is the first LTE
smartphone introduced in India. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 processor, Huawei has launched this device with Airtel. The smartphone can handle high speed data on the LTE network and switch back to 3G network where LTE is not accessible.
The P1 LTE has a 4.3-inch AMOLED display, runs on 1.5 Ghz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal memory. It has an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The company has not yet shared any details on its pricing and availability.
