Larsen and Toubro has posted a
16 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 863.65 crore during the quarter ended June 30 on the back of a healthy order book.
It had a net profit of Rs 746 crore during the like period of the previous financial year, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The total income stood at Rs 12,561 crore in the quarter under review up 29 per cent against Rs 9,751.8 crore during the year ago period, it added.
The order book of the company stood at Rs 1,53,095 crore as on June 30, with Rs 19,594 crore orders received during the quarter under review.
The company received major orders from infrastructure, building and factories, and power transmission and distribution sectors.
