Suppandi ($0.99)
iRemedi Corp
Most of the Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle classics are available as iOS apps now. However, we chose Suppandi from the lot because it is almost impossible to bump into this adorable simpleton from the 1980s anywhere else these days. Almost all of his popular escapades are available on the app. Many of the Amar Chitra Katha titles are free, but the best ones are only available as paid apps.

Magic Plan (Free)
Sensopia
Magic Plan might be ideal for civil engineer and architects, but it could also prove to be a handy app for common people. This augmented reality app creates floor maps of properties by just using the iPad camera. It takes some practice to use the app, but it is not tough to master. The app can also tell you how much area a room or a particular property has. Try using this app while you are scouting for a new house. No property dealer will cheat you henceforth.

Comics (Free)
Comixology
If you are a hardcore comics fan and have not been able to lay your hands on the stuff you wanted to read, then this app is your dope. There is hardly any comic publisher or genre that you won't find here. There are some free comics, though a majority of books are paid. Once you download a book it is very easy to navigate and flip through the pages. Don't think of this as a kids' app, there are lot of comics for adults too.
