I have often complained about the indifferent quality of the hardware of mid-segment Android smartphones brought out by Indian companies. The Lava Iris Pro 30 is an exception. I don't mind saying it is one of the best looking Android smartphones in the Rs 15,000 price range.
This is Lava's flagship offering. It has a superb 4.7 inch 720p HD screen from Sharp. The colours were crystal clear on this screen. It is comfortable to operate with a single hand, Lava has kept it slim and sleek at 7.5mm. The soft matt back is smooth with an 8MP camera and a very small Lava branding. This is a dual SIM phone with the slots hidden below the back panel. There is a regular SIM card slot along with a micro SIM and microSD.

Lava claims the screen consumes 30 per cent less power than others, but in fact it lasted only a day on average use.
