Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), the country's premier
commercial utility vehicles manufacturer, has
launched its compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) Quanto priced at Rs 5.82 Lakh (ex showroom).
The latest SUV in the market is a sub-four metre vehicle which makes it one of the smallest in the bracket in the country.
The company will start
exporting the Quanto to countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka besides South Africa in the next three to four months, followed by Europe and Latin America, M&M president for automotive & farm equipment sectors Pawan Goenka said.
Powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine, Quanto gives a mileage of 17.2 km per litre, according to M&M. The SUV will be available in four variants priced between Rs 5.82 lakh and Rs 7.36 lakh.
