Manappuram Finance on Friday posted 84 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 186.95 crore for the fourth quarter ended March, 2012.
The company had a net profit of Rs 101.80 crore in the same quarter in the previous fiscal.
Income from operation of the company rose to Rs 790.74 crore in January-March quarter as compared to Rs 414.87 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Manappuram Finance said in a filing to the BSE.
For the entire fiscal ended March, 2012, the company's net profit nearly doubled to 591.46 crore, compared to Rs 282.66 crore in the previous fiscal.
Income from operation also rose to Rs 2,615.54 crore during the year, compared to Rs 1,665.42 crore in the previous fiscal.
Meanwhile, the company has appointed Jagdish Capoor as the non-executive chairman. Capoor is the former Chairman of HDFC Bank.
Earlier Chairman V P Nandakumar has been re-designated as the Managing Director and CEO.
