Maruti Suzuki, Haryana Government come together to advance workers' careers

Maruti Suzuki India is planning to tie-up with Haryana Technical Engineering Department to launch an initiative that will allow workers to gain further education and advance their skills. The tie-up would offer a three-year diploma in engineering to its shop floor workers .

The company would reportedly sign an MoU on Wednesday with Haryana State Board of Technical Education and Haryana-IGNOU Society for Community Education in this regard.

The step would help in making available manpower and also enhance the skills of the workers that would help in meeting the future business needs of the company .

The workers for this programme would reportedly be chosen on the basis of an entrance test.
